  • UPPER ARMS – Our powder coated upper arms are made from 1.5: x .120 DOM steel. Our standard arms use OEM bushings on the inner pivots because no one does more research and development in the durability of automotive parts than the vehicle manufacturer. These bushings can last up to 200,000 miles, will never squeak and do not require maintenance.
  • The OEM style outer ball joints are great for the factory applications however the stress of larger tires, heavy vehicles and off-road abuse can lead to catastrophic failure.  Traditionally 1" uniballs have been used in place of factory style ball joints but we decided to take it one step further!  While 1" uniballs are known for their strength they are notorious for premature wear due to the elements.  After countless hours of R&D we have come up with what we believe to be the perfect combination of strength and longevity- introducing the "JD Joint!"  We start with the highest quality 1" FK uniball available, the AIN16T.  From there we machine our own proprietary 4130 uniball cups and that's where the magic happens.  Our cups are machined to accept a 6061 aluminum top cap that slides in before the uniball is pressed into the cup.  Not only does the top cap seal the uniball from the elements it also provides a bearing surface for the ball to ride on.  The additional bearing surface dramatically increases the strength and life of the uniball by distributing the load of the ball on the increased surface area.  We also included a zerk fitting on the top cap so a teflon based lubricant can be applied to the underside of the top cap.  Due to the design of the sealed top cap a standard bolt can not be used to attach the a-arm to the spindle.  Our solution incorporates custom 17-4 stainless steel pine with machined wrench flats on the bolt shank which can be torqued without needing to access the top of the bolt.  We also use custom machined 17-4 misalignment spacers with the factory spindle taper so your a-arms bolt right to the spindle with ZERO drilling or modifications.

  • UPPER ARM OPTIONS- We now offer 4 different upper arm options depending on your budget and application.   To start we have 0.25" adjusted caster as well as 0.75".  The 0.25" is ideal when running our lower control arm relocation kit because the added caster is gained by moving the lower control arm forward.  If you are running the the stock lower control arm geometry then the 0.75" arms are better suited as they will provide the added caster needed when lifting the truck. In addition to the different caster options we now have sealed inner pivot uniball options for both arms.  The uniball options are ideal for hardcore off-road applications.
